MI Fiesta Dance Studio proudly attended the Volunteer State Dance Challenge Ballroom Competition 2024 in Nashville from July 24-27. The competition atmosphere was fantastic, and the studio’s team danced in every category offered. From Night Club sessions to International Standard dances, MI Fiesta’s students gave it their all, and their achievements were nothing short of spectacular.
The Excitement Kicks Off: Night Club Session
The first night of the Volunteer State Dance Challenge started with the exciting Night Club session, where dancers dressed in fun outfits to match the theme. For MI Fiesta, this was no exception—everyone got into the spirit by donning cowboy boots and hats, ready to embrace the country-style dance. For most of the students, this was their first time dancing Country Night Club styles, but they gave it their best.
The highlight of the night was Stewart’s outstanding performance. He won all of his single dances in this session, setting the tone for the rest of the competition. Lauren and Eleanor also delivered fantastic performances, placing in the top three in almost all of their single dances. The studio’s first night at the competition was an overwhelming success, and it was just the beginning of what was to come.

The team dined at some of Nashville’s best spots, including the famous Martin’s Bar-B-Que and the stylish Little Fib Restaurant.
