The Windy City Open ballroom dance competition held in Chicago from April 4th to 7th, 2024 at the westin chicago -north shore
This wondefull event brought together amateur and professional dancers from all over the country. This prestigious event showcased the beauty and elegance of ballroom dancing in all its forms. At the competition, competitors from the youngest to the oldest took to the floor in all categories.
MI Fiesta dance studio represented Steward and Maiasha in this competition. Mariasha and her student, Steward, competed against dancers from different parts of the country in three different types of dance. Our competitors stepped on the dance floor a total of 72 times in three days in the categories of Smooth, Rhythm, Ballroom and Latin dances.
Steward achieved very good results in all categories:
- FIRST in 4-Dance Scholarships Closed Silver C Amer. Rhythm (CC,R,SW,B)
- SECOND 4-Dance Scholarships Closed Silver C Amer. Smooth
- SECOND 4-Dance Events Closed Silver C Int’l Latin
- SECOND 5-Dance Scholarships Closed Gold C Int’l Ballroom
- SECOND American 6-Dance Events Closed Silver C M/F
Then, after the outstanding performance they provided during the whole week, Steward earned the TOP Student award.
The atmosphere was great. Both the dancers and the dancers had a great time.
