Boston DanceSport Cup 2026 A strong start from MI Fiesta Dance

Feb 3, 2026 | Ballroom Dance Competition

Did you know that for many New England dancers, the competition season doesn’t truly begin until the Boston DanceSport Cup hits the floor? Every January, this beloved local event sets the tone for the year ahead—and 2026 was no exception.

The Boston DanceSport Cup has become a tradition not only for the Boston-area dance community, but also for MI Fiesta Dance Studio. Since the founding of our studio, we have proudly represented ourselves at this one-day local competition every single year. While it may not be the largest competition in the country, it holds something just as valuable: community, connection, and a shared love of ballroom dancing.

A Community-Focused Start to the Year

One of the most special parts of the Boston DanceSport Cup is its atmosphere. Many local studios attend year after year, and over time, friendly professional relationships naturally grow into genuine friendships. This year was no different.

Students’ friends, family members, and loved ones filled the ballroom with energy, encouragement, and applause. Their presence truly elevated the day, reminding us all why ballroom dancing is about so much more than medals—it’s about shared experiences and mutual support.

Venue & Date

The 2026 competition was held on January 24, 2026, at the elegant Boston Hilton Hotel in Woburn, Massachusetts. The ballroom provided a beautiful setting, combining professional-level production with a welcoming, local feel that makes this event so special year after year.
